Effective separation of effluents

The patented system uses a pedal-operated conveyor belt to automatically separate liquids (drained by gravity) from solids (conveyed to a biological technical room).

Biological treatment and urine recovery:

Biological treatment of solid matter is carried out through vermicomposting, a natural process based on the action of earthworms. When recovered, urine can be stored and then directed to appropriate recovery channels.
This operation enables controlled flow management, without water, with reduced environmental impact.

Sanisphere technology is based on a patented principle of separation of solid and liquid waste. A simple press on a pedal activates a self-cleaning mechanical system that evacuates solids to a vermicomposting area. Liquids are directed to a separate drainage circuit. This ingenious system, combined with natural ventilation, ensures autonomous and ecological operation.

No, there are no odors. The design of our toilets creates a natural airflow that draws air from the cabin through the bowl, preventing any odors from rising. The immediate separation of urine and feces also prevents the formation of ammonia, the main source of unpleasant odors.

Finally, a natural “blotting” effect is established within the system: a microbial film develops and captures odorous gases, helping to maintain a healthy and odorless cabin.

The cabin is easy to clean thanks to its smooth, seamless surfaces, which allow for quick cleaning, even with plenty of water. The absence of water and a sewage system also prevents the common problems associated with traditional restrooms: leaks, overflows, or water marks on the floor.

The material is processed using a biological treatment system. This natural ecosystem, composed of microorganisms and worms, gradually breaks down the material and significantly reduces its volume. As a result, the compost only needs to be emptied, on average, every 10 to 15 years.

  • Solid Waste
    They are processed directly in the toilet through a biological treatment process (earthworms and microorganisms) that breaks down the material and reduces its volume by a factor of 7 to 10. This natural system is self-sustaining, highly resilient, and functions even in challenging environments such as high altitudes. If the system is emptied before the material has fully decomposed, the compost can be sent to an approved composting facility.
  • Urine

    Three solutions can be offered to the customer depending on the site’s configuration: (1) connection to the public sewer system, (2) the installation of a drainage system following primary treatment in a pretreatment tank, or (3) the storage of urine in certified tanks for reuse as fertilizer through approved channels.
